The Ground Zero Mosque: the People vs the Ruling Class

From Rasmussen:

Most voters in New York (58%) oppose the building of an Islamic mosque near Ground Zero in New York City.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the state finds that just 20% favor the building of a mosque near the 9/11 Ground Zero site, while 21% are not sure.

And yet, it seems likely that it will be built.  This is because the Powers That Be in New York City simply don’t care what the people of New York want.  To them, building a mosque at Ground Zero is a way of certifying that they are smarter and morally superior to the hill-ape morons outside Manhattan who feel a Ground Zero mosque is an insult.

Here we battle the Ruling Class – here is our issue which can clarify for the American people just where they stand, and who stands against them.  Everyone in politics should be forced to offer an opinion on the Ground Zero mosque.  Opposing it is just the normal, rational thing to do – our enemies brutally attacked us and now their emissaries are trying to claim the site of our grief – to the enemy, this is the signal that they have won the war.  Supporting it is just to be a purblind, elitist dunderhead – and that is what we need to point out.

The ruling class hides behind a pretense that they care about America; that they care about poor people; that they care about working people.  All of that is nonsense.  What they care about is their power and wealth and their self image.  When given a choice between the people and their selves, they will always come down on their own side.  Here at Ground Zero, they could have honored the people – instead, they burnished themselves.  Now it is time for us to make them pay for it.
